    Internship

    I interned at Weber State University with the Leadership and Development program. The coordinator, Sheldon Cheshire, was teaching a non-credit course and wanted help organizing the lesson plan, student documents, and any other needed documents. I collaborated with him on the document layout, content, and use (i.e., are these all digital documents or will they be printed.)

    Sheldon had already created this document in Google Docs. I collaborated with him on his goals for the class. One goal was to make this accessible to other staff and teachers so they can also teach the course. I made suggestions, asked questions through the comments feature in Microsoft Word, edited areas for grammar, and developed a consistent flow of information from week to week.

    As I was developing the teacher lesson plans, I recognized the need for a template. Document created using Google Docs.

    Sheldon requested I create the student-facing documents for the course. The student worksheets did not need to be created past week 10 because they would do hands-on work from that point forward. These documents were created using Google Docs.

    School Work

    In my document design class, Colleen Payne, Joseph Gibson, and I created and worked in The Oak Group. We made a series of documents for a company about being prepared for the zombie apocalypse. We collaborated on the fonts, colors, and documents we wanted to create. Colleen Payne and Joseph Gibson helped give suggestions and edit both documents.

    I created the Employee Handbook using Lucidchart for the brainstorming and Microsoft Word to create the document.

    I created the group proposal memo in Google Docs and inserted the image of the tree.

    Flyers

    A local group named Friends of Herriman requested volunteers to create some flyers for their local choir. I created all three flyers in Canva.
